    Professor and Doctoral Tutor of Capital Normal University, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Education, Deputy Director of the China Basic Education Textbook Research and Evaluation Center, Secretary-General of the China Educational Heritage Research Association, Director of the Educational Branch of the Chinese Education Society, and Executive Director of the National Teaching Theory Professional Committee


    Research Fields: Curriculum and Teaching, Basic Education Reform, Teacher Education, Dialogue Teaching Theory and Practice, Textbook Research and Evaluation.


    He presides over a number of national, provincial and ministerial projects such as the National Social Science Fund of China, the National Education Sciences Planning, the Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, and the Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences etc.


    He creates the only textbook research platform in mainland China – “Textbook Review” (as one of the editors), and publishes “New China Elementary and Middle School Textbooks Graphic History” (six volumes, as a deputy editor in series). In recent years, he has published a number of papers in journals such as “Educational Research”, “Curriculum, Teaching Material and Method” and “Journal of The Chinese Society of Education”.


    His research results have won the first prize of the National Education Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award; the second prize of the Seventh Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award; the second prize of the Sixth Beijing Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award. He has been rated as the outstanding lecturer of Capital Normal University for two consecutive years.
